Project Summary & Challenges
Challenge: Transitioning detailed inspection flows to a mobile platform, allowing doctors to leverage their experiences in patient care.
Objective: Enhance the mobile experience to mirror traditional examination processes effectively.
Approach: Implemented iterative improvements based on feedback to refine the mobile solution.
Outcome: Successfully adapted traditional processes for mobile use, optimizing functionality and usability for doctors.
The processes
#1 Research
I focused on understanding the existing traditional inspection processes and how they could be effectively translated to a mobile platform. This involved studying the workflows of doctors and gathering insights on their needs and preferences through interviews and observations.
#2 Structure Creation
The focus was on designing user flows and wireframes to structure the mobile experience for detailed inspection processes. By mapping out the steps and interactions involved in traditional examinations, I created a clear and intuitive framework. This approach ensured that the mobile app effectively mirrored the established workflows, providing a seamless transition from traditional to digital practices.
#3 Design Process
The emphasis was on translating wireframes into high-fidelity designs during the Design Process. I crafted a visually engaging and user-friendly interface, incorporating feedback from the research phase to ensure the mobile app was both functional and aligned with doctors' needs. This process involved refining interactions and visual elements to enhance the overall user experience and facilitate efficient patient care.
#1 Research
Desk Research
It involved reviewing existing projects, case studies, and industry reports related to mobile inspection processes and healthcare applications.
Market research
I focused on analyzing current trends and competitor solutions in mobile healthcare applications.
#2 Structure Creation
The focus was on Structure Creation by mapping out the app's user flows and creating wireframes. This involved outlining each step of the inspection process and visualizing the app's layout to ensure a logical and intuitive user experience. Wireframes served as a blueprint, guiding the design and development to align with the traditional examination processes while optimizing functionality for mobile use.
Maping the app
This process involved outlining the overall structure and user flows to visualize how different features and interactions would be organized. It served as a crucial blueprint for developing wireframes and guiding the design process.
Wireframes
They served as a foundation for refining the app’s structure and ensuring that the mobile experience was intuitive and aligned with traditional inspection processes.
#3 Design Process
User-Centric Design
By prioritizing usability and user experience, the design aimed to enhance efficiency and support effective patient care.
Design Screens
#4 Heat map testing
The data from these tests guided clinical adjustments to optimize the app’s layout and functionality, ensuring a more intuitive and effective user experience.
