Project Overview

This project involved UX and UI designer who worked synergistically in order to build an innovative solution.

Description

Uniyemek is an application for ordering food online, which focuses on students residing far from food delivery channels. It targets the locations which are not supported by the popular food ordering applications in Turkey. As providing this service, it aims to meet the users needs as well as the increase of the profit of the gastronomy industry involving with the application.

Problem

The biggest problem here is the long order delivery time and more importantly, the cost for delivering orders given by students studying and living in far places. The industry-leading application does not focus on these fields, so that this created an untouched market.

Discovery Phase

Questioning and surveys are an easy way to gather a large information about a group in minimal amount of time. It is a great choice researching projects that have a large and diverse user group that cares about anonymity.

Design system

Before creating a design system, I saw that the devices used by students, the primary target group, work under Android operating system.

Thus, I created a design system structure in compliance with the Material Design rules.

Wireframes

User demands, user experience trends in the world and trends of university students, which is our primary target group, have been taken into account while preparing wireframes and the application infrastructure. A wireframe flow has been designed, where we can create a design system that is able to be adapted to new features.

I saw that it is necessary to consider the lifestyles of people while preparing the persona of the users. Users can easily view the restaurant suitable for their food regime through this feature.

Share your order with your friends

The main reason for many restaurants not send orders to far places is that orders not to reach the basket price limit of the restaurant. Therefore, by combining orders of multiple users, I ensured that orders of users are delivered and the restaurant served its customers and increased its profitability.
